Subject: Denise, I'm so sorry to hear that your Thanksgiving turned out to be so crappy. I have to claim ignorance here and I'm sorry if this is too personal, but do you not have a good relationship with your Dad? And are your parents' togther or divorced? You don't have to answer if you'd rather not. As for the cleanup, I can relate. One of the last times I had Thanksgiving dinner at my parent's house, my sister and my mother went outside, while I cleaned the entire dining room and got all of the dishes loaded into the dishwasher, hand washing everything that wouldn't fit. When my sister came back inside, she feigned surprise that I'd done it all. Yeah, right!! I hope your headache is gone by now. I had one this morning but it disappeared with the first cup of coffee.
In reply to: Denise 's message, "Hope you all had a nice day yesterday. I have a post Thanksgiving headache. Need to clean floors but don't feel like it. Yesterday was OK till my dad showed up. He said he wouldn't be there and then showed up and was "not so great" (to put it niceley) Seems like a lot of work for such a short time. Neither of my sisters helped clean up, one is always the first to leave and the other stays till the end but doesn't lift a finger to help set up or clean up. My DIL and mom and I did most everything. grrrrrr!!!! Family can be really great but family can really stink sometimes too! Have a nice weekend!" on 9:45:47 am, Fri, 11/23/07
