One last thing and I'll shut up for the day. I went back upstairs for more coffee and...........for the first time in 5 days, the sun had come out. It was so stunningly beautiful that it almost took my breath away, seeing the sun glistening on all of the ice that coats everything. It was sparkling like one, huge diamond. Destructive? Yes. So far, so good. Haven't lost any branches but only the south side of the tree melted off today. The north side is still pretty much coated with ice. And darn those weather guys anyway!!! This morning, they were saying that we'd get an inch, maybe two, Friday night into Saturday. Now they've upped the snow total to 5-7 inches. We just got up over 32 degrees so we should start the Great Melt soon. But I stuck my head out a window earlier and it sounded like someone was popping popcorn. We got into the 30's and thawed and dripped all over the place! My Jeep is a mucky mess, meeting other vehicles gets you splashed! Yech! It was a nice day to be out though with sunshine most of the day. I got some more ice chopped but still a lot to go.
