Subject: We just got up over 32 degrees so we should start the Great Melt soon. But I stuck my head out a window earlier and it sounded like someone was popping popcorn. There's a slight breeze today and the trees are just snapping and popping like crazy. I just hope the tree's not damaged.
In reply to: Sandy 's message, "One last thing and I'll shut up for the day. I went back upstairs for more coffee and...........for the first time in 5 days, the sun had come out. It was so stunningly beautiful that it almost took my breath away, seeing the sun glistening on all of the ice that coats everything. It was sparkling like one, huge diamond. Destructive? Yes. Costly?? Yes. A total pain in the butt?? Most certainly. But also totally beautiful." on 6:58:44 am, Thu, 12/13/07

  • We got into the 30's and thawed and dripped all over the place! My Jeep is a mucky mess, meeting other vehicles gets you splashed! Yech! It was a nice day to be out though with sunshine most of the day. I got some more ice chopped but still a lot to go. Ice CAN be very pretty but only when you are inside and don't have to go out! : ) (NT) -- D, 2:32:31 pm, Thu, 12/13/07
