Subject: Denise, I think this is a *wonderful* idea!! I've gotten to the point that I almost dread Christmas, not because of "the reason for the season" but because it's become so darn commercialized. I usually feel so relieved when Christmas is over and I shouldn't feel that way. My kids are so darn easy to buy for since they provide very detailed lists and we always just send Craig and Holly a check for them to get whatever they might need or want. So it's not really even about the hassle of shopping, since I've passed Gerry's family shopping off completely to him.
In reply to: D 's message, "I haven't bought any people gifts this year. I gave money to a mission in Nicaragua so that a family could have a house built and food for a year. I so hate to feel relief on the 26th of Dec. each year and I thought that it was the shopping that bogged me down so....I did get all the g'kids new pj's, that's a tradition but we all have so much and so often forget that. I'm having people over for meals, game night, goodies etc. instead of being too busy till midnight on the 24th that I could care less about seeing anyone on Christmas day." on 6:40:32 am, Fri, 12/14/07
