Subject: Actually, should the alarm go off, it automatically calls a "Call Center," and they call to make sure the call is legit. Then they call the police or fire department, depending on what's going off here at home. There IS a panic code on the panel that goes immediately to the police department with no call center intervention first. We had our first alarm system installed in '94, when the couple next door separated after he got involved in drugs. I'll tell ya, that was scary. I ended up skulking around at night, getting license plate numbers and that kind of stuff, for the police but it still took two years to get him out of here. It was finally the fact that the house was repossessed/foreclosed on that got him out of here.
In reply to: Kate 's message, "Sounds like you scared the be-jeebes out them Sandy!! LOL!!!
Glad the alarm worked so well...now if (god-forbid) something happens, does it call directly into the company and police?
