  • Vicki, I'm so very sorry. You, Danny and your MIL have my sincere sympathy. On the other side, though, it's so hard to have them suffer and if a morphine drip wasn't working for pain control...........! I think most of us here have lost a parent in this manner and there's no other way to say it - -- - - it's hard, very hard. I'm sending a comforting hug to Danny..........and also to you.   • Gerry got to the computer first this morning and told me that Danny's dad has passed away, because I slept in......I mean I *really* slept in. And he brought up something I hadn't thought of. You had mentioned earlier that his father was a retired Marine? And in that respect, we both think it's wonderful that he chose to go to heaven on Veteran's Day. I'm sure there was a huge group of veterans waiting for him at The Bridge (or at the Gate) cheering him on as he passed over the threshold. My love to you both.
