I'd love to spend the summers in downeast Maine (along the coast), since it doesn't get that hot there, and spend the winters either here or a bit further south. I love having four distinct seasons and wouldn't ever want to leave that but I couldn't cope with the fact that there was still snow in the woods in Maine in May. Here in Topeka, we have days in January where we can top 65-70 degrees. Sounds a lot like here. I do like the 4 season, I just wish we had some green a bit longer. I'd hate to be so far away from the ocean too. And I do love snow. I never used too, it is somewhat recent I decided I really loved it. I like that where we live, we actually get marooned every now and then. It is so peaceful and quiet and really beautiful. Fall used to be my favorite but it is starting to depress me lately. Well, maybe I'll win the lotto and can afford to have houses all over the country, LOL!!
