Subject: PS..I opened the closet where her treats were and she sure got itnerested in them..so she does have an appetite...just, it seems not for the Purina One????
our heat wave has broke, so I really don't think it's the heat..and anyway, even when it was really hot she rarely every leaves a piece of food in her dish..let alone a whole feeding!!!!
In reply to: Kate 's message, "I don't have a bag of the Hills at home, but maybe I could look it up on the net....
no, she is definitely NOT eating the amount that is recommended for her...maybe about half??? I'm honestly wondering if she just doesn't like it? Even though she ate it when it was mixed with the Hills..she sure doesn't seem to interested in it now....I'm thinking of going out and trying something new..just not sure what to get..is it really important that she has a Senior formula?

  • She doesn't need a senior formula. Some senior foods are softer and easier to chew and for that reason it might help some but I don't feed senior cause they usually lower the protein. Mine really like Natural Balance (ultra or premium, don't remember exactly what it's called) and Royal Canin Special used to be a favorite but when they added corn back I quit feeding it. I don't like wheat or corn in the food. I've found sometimes it's the change in kibble shape that puts them off too. (NT) -- Denise, 10:30:06 am, Tue, 07/24/07
  • Can you normally buy Natural Balance at the grocery store or at Wal-Mart? I'm afraid that is about the only places I have here to buy my food...??? (NT) -- Kate, 10:55:53 am, Tue, 07/24/07
