Okay, Kate. I realize you said that you had a WW meeting tonight so Rick was going to pick Maggie up. And I know you'll probably be too tired and stressed to post tonight. But I was just checking for an update. Here's hoping Maggie's home and settled back in after getting a complete "going over" and you've got her meds. Hello there..and thank you so much for asking Sandy......
Maggie is doing pretty good tonight, she was a little groggy yet when Rick picked her up and not too sure on her feet, but as evening has gone one she is clearing up quite a bit..and she is hungry....Dr. Lee said not to feed her until the morning, but she is litterally begging, so we gave her a little bit just to see how it sets with her, and you can tell she feels better having something in her stomach. I'm going to give her just a few more bites when I go to bed to hold her over until morning.....
I have to start giving her the antibiotics tomorrow....I am thinking of waiting until tomorrow evening for her first dose, that way she'll get a couple of meals in her first...not sure if the amoxi will upsest her bely or not... (NT) -- Kate, 7:06:05 pm, Wed, 07/25/07
Dr. Lee said she is doing fine and doesn't see where she should have any trouble with the spot healing...I guess the other sac was filled too so they did have to express that one.....
sure hoping this new food has the fiber she needs to get her stools the right consistency for this to quit happening to her.....

Thankfully yep we did have an "ordinary" night Denise!! And, yes, she really was hungry so I made sure to just give her just a little (and made sure it was the bigger pieces so she really did have to chew and couldn't just swallow them whole) at a time and made her wait awhile before I gave her any more...I swear she looked more bright eyed as soon as she got some food into her belly....
she seemed to sleep and rest just fine all night and she sure was glad when it was time to eat this morning!!
I gave her her first dose of amoxi this morning and there wasn't a problem with that either..so looks like we are back on the right road....Thank you!! (NT) -- Kate, 7:36:02 am, Thu, 07/26/07
Thank God Maggie's home and *hungry.* That's a good sign. And boy, I'm happy for you that she'll take her amoxicillin so well for you. I felt so sorry for her yesterday because believe me, "poop" problems are just not fun to have. What a relief to have this problem identified and over and done with.
