Denise, by "Cush" meds, do you mean meds for Cushings Disease? And you also mentioned Chemo drugs...am I understanding things right, is Cushings Disease a form of cancer? Or am I reading something altogether wrong in this whole post..which wouldn't be the first time!!!! -- Piggy's Pad

Wish I had a magic wand! since this is an immune thing, check out Transfer Factor, I swear by it cause if made Bogie not need Cush meds (chemo drugs) anymore and I am thankful for that. I take it and use it for the diabetics and the FIV guy is gonna get it now too. The have a pet product but vets that have used it start with the Advance Plus formula. Cush meds is Cushings. Bogie has atypical Cushings. Lysodren is a chemo drug used to damage the adrenal gland to cause it to not produce so much cortisol, that's is what normal Cushings is. Atypical is when there is also extra sex hormones produced by the adrenal gland. This drus is nasty and Bogie was so sick. (NT) -- Denise, 5:19:23 pm, Fri, 07/27/07
I remember when I FINALLY found out that Sam had Cushings...my old vet did tell me that sometimes the meds to treat it were actually worse than the disease itself....but I still wish he would've given me the chance to decide that for myself.....oh well, water under the bridge by now, but, as you can tell, I'll never forgive him for his treatment (or should I say "non-treatment") of Sam and my concerns....
