Kay-chan, I'm a lot like you there -- very anti-confrontational. Unless someone really corners me and keeps pushing, I won't do a thing. (Of course, should someone threaten or harm a loved one, I'll gladly rip their throat out with my bare hands. ^_^;; I can and will get violent when those I love are involved.)

And very firmly, NO, I do not consider myself a geek or a computer nerd. I have much more balance to my life than that, and even if I didn't, I absolutely hate stereotypes and will refute every single one.

Mouse-chan, you should never worry about seeming crazy around here. Especially around here! ^_^ And you shouldna worry about me, at least. I have two over-zealous best friends who watch my every move with the eyes of hawks -- I'm well taken care of. ~_^

Personally, I use heart-friend not just in a romantic sense... but as someone who kind'f surpasses 'best friend' and 'boyfriend' and 'girlfriend'... someone you can open you heart to and share everything with, someone you never have to worry about betraying you or not loving you. But yeah, heart-friend can also be used to replace boyfriend. I don't use the term boyfriend... it feels too shallow. Teenage couples, with some exceptions, are only 'together' for a few weeks or months, and then they barely know each other and often part on bad terms. I've never had the experience, and I don't want it. I like my way of love: for me, romance naturally follows a heart-to-heart relationship, which in turn followed friendship... etc. There's always a level to fall back on, y'know?

Wow, that was good rambling. And yeah, we read Romeo and Juliet in 9th. Did absolutely nothing for my view on love. In the same class that we studied that, I was learning to live with my "crush"s presence and learning to enjoy just being with him... learning to love him as a friend, rather than put him on a pedestal and wish for what he didn't want to happen. But Shakespeare didn't have anything to do with that. ^_^

I have to disagree with Kain-chan, though. I've always been told that I'm a mature individual for my age, but I still love acting my age and playing around (when the situation allows for it). I think kids nowadays... and by kids, I really do mean 15 and under... are growing up way too fast. (Please don't take offense at the 'kid' thing, I consider myself a kid still. It's a Sushi-thing. XD.) I mean, they're "dating" in 6th-freaking-grade. I heard a 4th-grader use the F word. I heard another 4th-grader talk in shocking detail about sex and private parts... with appropriate terminology. Maybe it's just my little part of the world that is badly in need of some sheltering, but I don't want this. I want their innocence to stay pure. Maturity comes with knowledge, broadened horizons, and experience. Maturity is a good thing... but at a certain age, and not before. Being keen-witted or just plain canny is one thing... being jaded or seasoned at too young an age is entirely another.

End result of my rant? I'd much rather tolerate ignorant, immature little brats than have to realize that kids way younger than me know way too much.
