 A renters remedy will vary depending primarily on what the terms of the lease agreement are, as well as what type of tenancy they hold. Thus, depending on the facts specific to your circumstance, your situation will vary. So, generally speaking, here's the law:

* If a renter is in default or holds over beyond the rental term, the landlord must give at least 3 days written notice to vacate the premises

* Once the 3 day written notice is up, a landlord can not just barge in and kick you out. If the landlord wants his space back, the landlord will file in your local court whats commonly referred to as "Forcible Detainer Suit," or an "Eviction Suit"

* This Forcible Detainer Suit is a lawsuit against the tenant, and if the court finds that in fact the tenant has violated the terms of their lease, the court will issue an order which could include any of the following: removing the tenant, have the tenant pay back rent, and in some cases, have the tenant pay the legal fees of the landlord.

 she is probably considering you a nuisance tenant for some reason (does not like the business you are in, outside influence on her etc).

unless you are habitually late, then she is tired of it, but that does not seem to be the situation as you state.

bitch of a circumstance is, even though the law is on your side, (or most likely) if she locks you out,(even illegally) you are out of business til the time you can get a judge to say she did it illegally and reverse the situation. if you cut the locks and re-open, then she can try to get a trespass on you and get you arrested etc.

Generally, landlords (and mostly it is management companies from what i have seen) think they do not have to follow the laws. especially if they are an out of state landlord where the laws are more liberalt to the landlord and not the tenant. they seem to think and apply the law of the state where they live and not the property location (been there done that with a california owned landlord).

if i were you, i would look into moving, there are pletny of spaces out there. then i would send the owners an explantion of why you are leaving etc if she is not the owner and explain about the harrasment
who knows, you might get a better space for less rent....

The motor is a 355 sbc with ported brodix t1 heads and match ported holley intake, 630ish lift camshaft and about 13.5 - 1 compression. Shifting it 8 grand.

 heard from another friend of mine that coming in on i55 the trailer unlatched, came off the trailer, went across the center median, missed 2 trees and came to a stop in th mud of the center median. no damage, no cars hit, nothing wrong in the trailer. really lucky. coming down on i55 myself i almost lost a trailer when all but one of the bolts on my receiver hitch broke. i55 is a killer bumpy thumpy road in some parts

 Randy was my brother for 60 years. Every since 1966 we always had a race car. Our dad always said, "If you race, it will be on the race track, not on the street." Our older brother, James, had a C/A 32 coupe he ran when Porter Drag Strip opened so Randy and I followed along. We started running a 55 Chevy in G/MP. I never will forget Randy bought a set of heads that we put on the car and it slowed down instead of speeding up!! So, Randy took the heads off and ported and polished them himself and the car ran on the record! We ran cars throughout the years just having fun. When his sons, Kevin & Steve, became of age Randy was ready to buy his sons their first race cars. He bought Kevin a Nova and Steve a dragster. Since then, the dragster has been parked and the Camaro will be finished at some point in 2010 to carry on their Dad's wishes. For me, I am going to sit on the sidelines and help Randy's boys reach their racing goals that Randy had started with them!

 Just to add to this whole Jeff Naiser thing. I walked up to look at his car one night and he asked me to give him a hand, so I did. Thoughts to myself was no big deal. I watched him make his next pass, walked back out there and another racer walked over and asked Jeff if he had a part, Jeff said yes and sold it to him right there off his trailer. He spoke to me about his pass, as if I'm somebody important. We spoke off and on all night in between passes and at the end of the night he told me thanks and handed me one of his team t-shirts. When I think about it, all I did was hold his brackets open so that he could install his nitrous bottles.

 did my roll cages on my last to cars. currently have a 76 ' 6.20 1/8 mile nova i did. turned out professional. i had the bends done then i tig and mig welded it. anyways jegs has a roll cage set up that will work well. i will install,cut and weld for $300 but make sure the interior has no carpart,seats or panels or there is a extra charge. professional shops will start at $600+ on labor.

 will be out next sunday at hmp seeing it in person is better then pictures. i worked for nusil technoloy out in cali for a couple of years. big company, i was one of four welders and fabricators on small and big projects. so i know the strong points of the car to weld up the 6 inch plates and the leveling. i've done 8 point roll bar on a 83 camaro and 6 point on my 76 nova. i know racing and safety cost money but i believe in safety done right. i have respect for joe and his website and what hes done for the drag racing in houston. so i back down on my offer and check out the sponsors and get it done right the first time.

 Question? Have a 383 with 13/1 comp, on spray and stock block. (before the haters start... I know the problem is the stock block, but money is tight) Have noticed a crack between the #'s 3 & 5 cylinders 1/2" below deck for heads which is leaking a little water out after running, but no water in oil. Question: I have heard that Moroso makes a product to repair cracks in water jackets and wanted to know if it really works? Sounds kind of ify due to the higher compression. Any info would be great. I know the best option is an after market block, but looking for cheaper way out.....

 JOE,this may be weird to ya on this subject, i run a 8.5comp/ratio on a sbc[78]with the HEI/MSD6A,stock bloc with the aftermarket add's of headers n carb n intake,afew tweaks, n this sucker will not run a *45 gap on the top end,it loves the *53-*55 gap,it sucks the fuck out of gas,..n i drive with a egg under the pedal !!

 CHECK THIS OUT -UPDATE ON THE NRC 5.3 MEGA ENGINE. NRC HAD TO GET A 5 AXIS CNC BUILT THAT WOULD HANDLE THES MEGA MONSTER HEADS......

here are some updated pics of our 5.300 project. rocker stands were made in house, and jesel supplied the steel bodied rocker arms. You can also see the billet intake runners with the nitrous bungs machined in.

just waiting on the 5 axis head porting machine, so we can finish up the heads. it's supposed to be here any day now.
