 I have a few more bigger items I need to nearly finish my car, season will be here soon and wanted to see if anyone had some shit collecting dust vs me calling up Jeg's and giving them all my money.

* Set of stepped BBC headers that will fit a second Gen Camaro, prefer 2.25 but 2.125 would be ok.

* Vaccum pump setup

* A2000 fuelpump
or
* Magnafuel 500

Also need a stock front end off of a BBC for a Street Warrior car. I need crank pulley, fan pulley and PS pump bracket/pulley or entire unit.

 There was a Moroso vac pump setup on YB for $400 but I don't see it today. There is a Star Machine one on there, but they are a little pricey.

I have a stock BBC V-rib crank pulley if it will work for you.

Only cut them if you have to get it low and don't have the money to do it right. NEVER heat them especially if your gonna race it. Heating theM lowers the tension strength in the area they are heated and will cause them to break under load.

 I removed mine (BB Moroso Trick Springs) and cold cut them to lower the front of my Nova. I aint had a problem. Took it to the guy that does racecar alignments (can't remember the name of the place B&G something like that) on Hempstead hwy and they aligned it right up. No problems.........Not sure about how it effected the launch. Mine seems ok.

 Happy New Year Joe and everyone! This is totally off topic but I've been looking on Craigslist for a cleaning service for my house since I took a second job, and cleaning products give my girlfriend headaches, at least thats what she tells me. Anyway I found one nearby with good rates since she lives one town over from me (I live in the boonies). Anyway in her add it talks about nothing but hard work and cleaning, then it says "complete discretion". I just wanted to get some guys opinions on this if that meant she wasn't going to go blab about valubles in my house or if it meant what I think it meant. Sorry to take up space about cleaning stuff, Joe. But this has got to be the best place to get a few answers on this one. Thanks

 i have a sbc 350 bored .60 over!! well when the street car was running it ran warm (240-250 degrees) could this be the main cause of this problem? i have a big radiator, good elec. fan and ive changed the thermostat 3 times. now i think the guy who built the motor didnt tune it long enough! what do yall think? thanks

 what kind or car is it in. If it's a 3rd gen camaro that could be your problem. Take the thermostat out and start the engine to see if the coolant is circulating through the radiator. Also try a nonthermo fan clutch with 6 blade fan without the electrict fan.

 Was wanting to know if anyone knows anything about blower motors and how to tune them. I have a 23 t-bucket with a 355 sbc and b&m 144 blower, 650 holley dp. timing is set at 34 deg. at 2500rpm. the car idles fine and cruises fine just when you get on it has hesitation like there is to much fuel but when the boost comes up it clears out and runs fine. Any help will greatly be appreciated. Just put a hotter plug in tonight, and it helped but not 100%

 If this helps, I've got a similar setup 383 stroker with 144 blower and 650 carb. Running about 6 lbs of boost in a 23 tbucket. I would suggest an msd 6al ignition box possibly with a wire and distributor swap. It improved my performance alot when i put the blower on. Also, possibly switching up your head combination/getting them reworked for better flow. Just my .2

 What kind of power are you trying to make?That has a lot to do with the set up.The parts that you have are more than capable of makeing 1500hp.I dont think your block is going to be a problem.You might want to think about running e85 with those steel heads to help suppress detonation.I have some experiance with e85 and blow thru carb if you have thought about any of that stuff yet.I have a blow thru e85 turbo set up and I plan on being at the first street warrior race in march.I love this set up,I go to kroger on atascasita rd spend 15$ on 5 gallons go to HMP and spend 20$ on a tech card and have a ball.If you are on a tight budget like me,in the long run it will pay off running this set up.Not many people can go to the track and only spend 35$.Give me a call and I can hook you up with a machinist that wont break the bank. 713-459-0952

 Its a 950 and i set it up myself at first.I got it to idle and drive and come up in boost clean but w.o.t. was lean.Then i sent it to eric at hp ennovations in michigan,he does alot of blow thrus for steve morris racing and he installed a boost referance power valve and a few more tricks.The carb worked flawless until my oil pressure droped,so never got to track test it.I have about 900$ in the carb and about 1300$ in fuel system and thats more than what the engine cost me.

Just don't know how much a stock block and crank will hold. I did spring for H-beams and L19 bolts as well as custom Diamond pistons. Got a Borg/Warner S480 with a 1.10a/r.  WHEN SHOCKS ARE MOUNTED AT AN ANGLE IT ACTS LIKE YOU HAVE SOFTENED THE SHOCK.

FOR EXAMPLE: SHOCKS MOUNTED STRAIGHT UP AND DOWN, SUSPENSION GOES DOWN AN INCH- SHOCK GOES IN AN INCH.

SHOCKS MOUNTED SAY 45 DEGREES SIDEWAYS [FOR EXTREME EXAMPLE], SUSPENSION GOES DOWN 1 INCH THE SHOCK ONLY GOES IN 1/2 INCH. YOU ONLY HAVE 1/2" SHOCK TRAVEL FOR 1 INCH CHASSIS TRAVEL WILL MAKES FOR A SOFTER HIT.

COIL OVER CAN TAKE SOME ANGLE BUT REMEMBER SHOCK SHAFTS ARE NOT DESIGNED TO TAKE ANY LOAD. STOCK SHOCKS CAN TAKE ANY ANGLE BECAUSE THEY DO NOT SUPPORT THE CAR- ALL THEY DO IS GO IN AND OUT AND HAVE NO CLUE WHAT ANGLE THEY ARE MOUNTED AT.

COIL OVERS DO SUPPORT THE CAR AND THE SPRING HOLDS UP THE CAR [WEIGHT]. COIL OVERS CAN BE TILTED IN MOUNTING AS LONG AS THE SPRINGS STILL SUPPORT THE LOAD.

IF YOU LEAN THE COIL OVER TOO MUCH THE SPRING WILL BOW AND SOME OF THE LOAD WILL BE TRANSFERED TO THE SHOCK STEM WHICH IS NOT TO DESIGNED TO CARRY ANY LOAD.

ANY LOAD ON THE SHOCK STEM WILL WEAR THE SEAL ON ONE SIDE AND THE SHOCK WILL LEAK OIL. IN EXTREME CASES THE SHOCK STEM WILL BEND.

I CAN'T REMEMBER HOW MUCH ANGLE IS ON STOCK SHOCKS FOR A MALIBU BUT AS SHAWN SAYS I BET THEY WILL WORK.

I disagree

the pivot ball on the coil over prevents and "side load" on the shock.
But I do agree that the further you lay over the coilover the further you diminish the shocks ability to do the job al;ong with an increase the spring rate to achieve the proper ride highth,you do however put a greater load on the brackets. I personally wouldnt lay them any farther that15-20 deg from vertical.That way you dont lose much control.
If you must lay them down for space,you should use cantilevers to actuate the shock

I feel that in drag cars the shock needs to be mounted in the direction of movement. That will best control your torque and rear end movement.

 Stroke it to a 383, add some AFR 195 or 210 heads, 750-850 HP carb., full length headers, Peformer RPM intake with a 1" open hole wooden spacer, 560 ish lift hydraulic roller cam with 245 ish plus duration at .050, 10-10.5 compression flat top pistons, 3500 stall converter, 373+ gear(can use an overdrive trans 700r4). Drive it everyday as long as you can afford the gas for it.

He learned the Shop business from the ground up. started out doing tear downs and cleaning and worked and learned the trade from every angle until he opened his own shop. Friend of mine uses him exclusively at his shop. good customer service and delivers and picks up to shops, hard to find that anymore.

 When you start car, hard to impossible to get in gear. Once car is idling and excessive pumping of clutch pedal, will go into gear but still very difficult. drive it around for a while and it starts working perfectly. Start banging gears and then it becomes hard to get into gear. Even if it is shifting good when you put it up, still pulls the same stunt the next time you start it up. There is a bleeder on the the line going to the throw out bearing, but doesn't seem like that would bleed the system very efficiently? Any ideas?

 had to get a small hand held vaccum pump and use it to bleed mine. used the cap on the clucth master and added a vaccum port to it pump it to 7 or 9 in lbs and let it sit for a while

 what happened to let air get into the system? is the system leaking somewhere! Do you have to add fluid? If not something is gone bad, how many miles on the clutch and pressure plate? It may be worn out. If all is good pump clutch pedal about 5 times, take your foot off pedal so it can return to normal position, open bleeder, immediately have someone push pedal to floor, tighten bleeder, release pedal, repeat steps until air is out of system! add fluid between repeating steps so reservoir will stay full

 Meguiar's, mirror glaze #2 or D30016 . The cheap way - toothpaste and damp cloth. you will have to wax afterwards , it will be dull. I have also used glass water spot removal compound from a glass company.
