Thats a great question? You can have a removable front end but I thought the rules stated that the hood must be separate from the front end! Meaning the hood has to be able to come off and the front end stay on!I just reread the rules and apparently this rule is not in effect in 2013! Either way, beautiful car and goodluck with it!

You can take the Hood off seperatly from the front clip or the whole front clip. It has 4 Corvette Latches onderneith, no Zeus Buttons anywhere!

The frontend is legal for x275 the hood can be removed from the front clip while on the car

To see this car in person is a must! I have seen and taken photos of many Chevy II Nova's. The engineering a detail that went into this car is above and beyond what you will ever see in a real driven racecar. It is a beautiful piece and is show quality with the guts of a competitive entry to any X275 race. Joe just posted a few photos as well did I. I still have in secret a few more. This car will be one to watch for the 2013 season! How bought all real glass, electric windows, custom leather rear seats and custom factory interior door panels just to disclose a few of it's originality. Just plain breath taking!

Yals rules may allow that kind of chassis around there but out east they will send you home with that tube chassis car front end. We have the same front end on our car and John Sears told us it was not legal for x275.

If Rick Stevens built it then it is a top notch chassis. He is the man. He used to have a beautiful Chevy II street car that he sold when he went to work for himself after leaving the Ford dealer I believe.

I directed him to look at the pictures on here and this is the e-mail reply I got from him copied and pasted:

"I allow that as long as it's a Smith Racecraft/AJE or = I have no issue with it. They need to keep the wheelbase stock though."

That sounds like an ok to me. I will look at it if it's at the track Friday and discuss it with Wayne.

The front clip is a bolt on piece from Smith Racecraft. I dealt with them myself on this unit.

His body is not making blood platelets**this is very serious**he is having a bone marrow test this morning at kingwood hospital.**i am not going to beat around the bush. We started this on htown as getting him something just to lighten the mood and put a smile on his face. The thread was started at around 11pm last night and we had 350$ by 6am. Drew stepped in and raised the bar which I am all for it, however working offshore my hands are slightly tied since I am not in town.

When I spoke with Drew he said he will be setting up something with BMW and a few others to get the ball rolling. I love those 55's but know next to nothing about them. I do have a good friend who has a 55 Belair for sale though. It has had one repaint, it's all their with a 265 V8 I believe. He had the powerglide rebuilt and took a while to get it back and it didn't work so he put a turbo 350 in it. It is a complete car begging for a resto, his price is kind of high though. It runs and drives and even looks good, but really needs a resto. It is a very very complete car. Good luck with yours.

This is a dead issue. All involved have settled it forever.

I made a wrong call and told Todd he could race at 3250 instead of 3300. My fault. He weighed over that number on both his qualifiers and first round. Second round, he weighed over 3300# to run Tyler.

For the record, Tyler's girlfriend looked at the weigh sheet and SHE was the smart one that caught the mistake. She came to me and I realized the mistake. This was after Todd and Tyler had run. The cars were lined up to race for third round and I went to Todd and told him what had happened and then went to Eric Stubbs and told him that Todd had weighed in at 3270. I asked him what he wanted me to do and he said... quoting as close as I can remember, "25# won't make any difference on a turbo car, let it go". So we did.

If Todd had both his qualifiers thrown out, he would have been put in the show in the last qualifier spot. He would have run the same car first round that was a no-show and then would have run Tyler where was at legal weight. Same result either way.

Now drop this stupid crap and lets just try to have a good year. Nobody has a problem any longer with this but you crap kickers... just my side of the story.

I guess you didn't see the last couple passes at Evadale.The reason they were having problems is cause Competition Sales fucked me on a set of tires that I put on Hillbillys car read the same roll out but were over an inch off. BUT THERE IS AN EASY FIX FOR STUPIDITY IN THIS CASE. ALL THAT IS REQUIRED IS TO STAGGER THE AIR PRESSURE IN THE TIRES. MIGHT TAKE A COUPLE OF POUNDS OF DIFFERENCE OF AIR BETWEEN THE TWO TIRES.

ROLL OUT SIMPLY COMPARES HOW BIG AROUND EACH TIRE IS. THE LARGER ROLL OUT TIRE WILL HAVE MORE TIRE OR "PATCH" CONTACTING THE GROUND AND THE LARGER TIRE WILL "OUT DRIVE" THE SMALLER TIRE AND MAKE THE CAR TURN TOWARDS THE WALL.

WHEN YOU STAGGER THE AIR PRESSURE YOU LET AIR OUT OF THE LARGER OR "DRIVING TIRE OR ADD AIR TO THE SMALLER TIRE. LETTING A POUND OF AIR OUT OF THE LARGER TIRE WILL DECREASE IT'S ROLL OUT AND CONTACT PATCH.

SOMETIMES ALL IT TAKES IS SWAPPING SIDES WITH THE TIRES. THE TIRE MAKERS AT NHRA MEETS ALREADY HAVE THE TIRES PAIRED WITH THE SAME ROLL OUT. YOU WILL SEE THE PROS ROTATE TIRES AFTER EVERY PASS- THEY WANT THE TIRES TO WEAR EVEN- THATS WHY THEY SWITCH THEM EVERY ROUND.

Well here's a fucking idea if you are having an issue of tires with miss matched roll outs stamped on them which I know you are cause a set of true 28s that were put on the rockcrusher that were bought from you were stamped wrong too. Maybe double check them once you get them in stock. If I order a beveled glass table top from a distributor that is known for problems I'm gonna do the professional thing by making sure it's right before giving it to my customer.It's not my customers resposability to make sure it's right it's my responsibility as a business owner. Are you going to make all your customers go back in your tire stock room and measure all the freaking tires. Anybody want to buy a set of $450 set of miss matched tires? I have seen Mike's work and it looks good to me. Cars nowadays are more of a handfful to get working. We make so much more power and use the little tires. It is more a tuner's game now. Power application is the key now, not just making more than the next guy. I was talking to Mike yesterday at HMP and we talked about just this issue. Used to be, the chassis set up was all we had before 7531 boxes, Grid boxes and Big Stuff 3's. Now all we as chassis guys can do is give you the bite the car set up will let us have and it is the tuner's deal from there. Once the car goes straight and it has bite dialed in, you have to tune it with the electronics... fact of life these days. Mike had Hillbilly's car lined out yesterday and is perfectly capable of tuning any chassis from what I see from him. Hillbilly's group is trying to sort the car out with different tires for different classes and some for grudge racing and all that takes time. Several runs for each different tire. Give it time and they will get it done. They are dedicated and work hard to be competitive. I think the creed they live by is "whatever it takes".

You need to get a really thin tape or a cloth one to make sure it conforms to the tire as it goes around. ALWAYS check them after they are first mounted. One of the Goodyear guys said that some tires get stretched by someone mounting it without enough lube and over inflating it to make it seat and stretching it out. Just my experiences.

Question is how many # of N2O in a big tank like you see at filling places. They said 100# but reading forums i hear alot about 51-67# bottles . are they stamped tare and gross weight like propane ?? I USED A LOT OF NOS FOR MY TESTING AND MY SHOP CUSTOMERS USAGE. I INSTALLED A LOT OF KITS AND WE NEEDED A READY AVAILABLE SUPPLY OF NOS.

Before I get started I am not new to yellowbullet. I have always read the page just never been the posting type or had a screen name but now I feel this information needs to come out to prevent another racer getting conned the way I did.

I agreed to hired Burl Greene to do some work on my car about a year ago. At the time he was living in Houston, TX. The job consisted of building a set of headers, moving the engine up, mounting a rack, and installing some ladder bars. It took him 6 months to let me bring the car to his house at which time I gave him a $3000 deposit and some parts. This was in July of 2012. I waited patiently and should have know better than to take it to him in the first place after hearing some of the story's going around about people he has burned in the past. Even Kyle Huettel (bad9er) who had used Burl in the past strongly advised me not to use him. He said he knew it would end badly. So after about 4 months of the car being at his house I started growing suspicious of his lack of communications. He was always putting me off and ignoring my calls and when I would go by his house nobody would ever answer the door. When he would finally answer the phone he would always have an excuse and make those �next week� promises. The last time he answered my call was in mid November. So right before Christmas after hearing some rumblings in the racing community that he was leaving town and there were others looking for him over getting ripped off, I decided enough was enough. I went to his house with my trailer to get my car. When I pulled up same old thing, no answer at the door. So I decided to look in the windows of his house and see if I could see if anyone was home. Low and behold the house was completely empty! I went in through the back door and made my way into the garage to find my car sitting on jack stands. None of the work was completed and I am just thankful I was able to get my car back. Had the landlord discovered the car before I did I'm sure I would�ve had an uphill battle getting my car back. I have since heard that he left town running from a couple of people including myself that gave him large deposits without every producing one dime of product of labor. I know I will never see my $3000 again or my $500 Meziere starter that he took. I have heard that Burl is in the South Carolina area now and has been hitting up some outlaw, heads up, and grudge racers to send him money on the promise of doing work. If you are solicited by Burl Greene for chassis work or any transaction for money use great caution. Burl is a thief and a con man. I hope this doesn't happn to anyone else but i'm sure he will continue shopping for his next victim. Hopefully the power of yellowbullet will stop him.

WHEN YOUR DISSING ANOTHER MAN'S BUSINESS- I USUALLY TAKE THE POST OFF. OVER THE PAST 4 OR 5 YEARS I HAVE TAKEN OFF 4 OR 5 POST JUST LIKE THIS ABOUT BURL.

THE SAME TYPE OF POST ABOUT BURL KEEPS COMING BACK. AFTER A WHILE IT DOES SEEM TO NO LONGER BE JUST A POST BY A DISGRUNTLE CUSTOMER. THERE NOW SEEMS TO BE A THREAD OF TRUTH HERE. IT DOES SURPRISE ME THE LARCENY IN BURL'S CHARACTER.

THERE ARE PLENTY OF CHASSIS BUILDERS OUT THERE. SOMETIMES IT DOES SEEM BEST TO ERR ON THE SAFE SIDE OF THINGS.
