 Do they make a transmission pump that goes on the transmission lines so you can help cool down the trans between laps better possibly? I have the cooler but I was thinking if you could place a pump that would by-pass when you are running and you could switch it on between passes it would maybe help a little.

 Try precision powder coating in Spring texas off old louetta loop. They did all of my work on my 67 ac cobra that i showed at the autoramas. I believe steve or his dad still run the show there. I hope this helps.

 If you have access to welding equip, cutting individual pieces, beveling for weld areas, and then gusset it will be stronger than the 2x3 tube itself. If you can't get the bends you want..

 I have had lots of fun keeping my cars street-strip especially since I can't afford to have both. On a side note I have a 383 as well and am putting it into a super clean 1972 original owner Nova. Even got the build sheet, sale invoice, owner's handbook, even the little dealer plate that goes in the glovebox. Hopefully we can hook up at the track sometime and see what they will do.  Doing a complete restore on 86 Camaro. I've rebuilt this engine 10 years ago, L98 350 TPI. Start engine every 3 or 6 month for about 20 minute. Now engine will not run on it own. Will run when spraying starting fluid thru throttle body. Have 45 to 55 lbs fuel pressure but it bleed down fast and it never done that before. What would be the reason car will not start? Every thing on this engine is new including fuel injectors when engine was rebuilt. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

 If you can keep the engine running while spraying into the thottle body and you also have good fuel pressure you could have lost Injector Pulse.You can buy or barrow a Niod injector tester or you can make one out of a LED light to see if you have any pulse. The LED light will flash off and on as it pulses. if not then you lost power to the injectors. If so then check you ECM fuse (you should have two).As to your fuel pressure going down on pressure that could be your pressure regulator leaking or the pump is not holding the pressure but that should not keep it from starting. Take the plug off one of the injectors and check for a pulse. Hope this helps

 Yes, he went an .84. He ran it thru the 1/4 on 1 run and clicked it early and still went a 5.90 at 232. I believe this is with the small motor. Im glad to see they are figuring it out, those guys have been working hard all year, and now its starting to pay off.

I went to hooters and got crappy food at high prices, went to twin peaks and got excellent restaurant quality food at a fair price and no fanny packs covering up their twats!  have a 04 tahoe 5.3 liter hard to start hit key and the starter is clickin new starter new battery good alt stilll wont hardly start when running no check engine light . everytime i crank the tahoe it resets the clock in the radio but runs fine heard alot about ignition switches but wanted some helpful advice .  Tommy if your starter clicks when you hit the ignition switch then its not the switch. You do have a STARTER RELAY on this model so check that first with a new one. If the relay doesn't send the proper voltage to the starter then it will effect how it starts. Also check your grounds like they told you to. Here is a website that wil help you do some test that is very helpful. I have posted it here a couple of times but not sure if they use it since i never see any responce. Hope this helps

 i have a box stock rear suspension early el camino. i have 454 engine that makes a lot of low end mid range torque.3000 converter th400. this is to be a 95% street toy.i am looking at putting a 9 inch in it.would i do best to set the rear up for ladder bar or for southside bar and adj.upper control arm? 3.55 gear ratio is my choice. problem is, without cutting i cannot fit a wider tire than 8.5 inches and i really wish to avoid cutting it.any input would be nice

 Mike what year is your camino? I have a 70 Chevelle with stock width 12bolt. Southside non adjustable upper and lower control arms, Moroso rear coil springs, (the passenger side spring is stiffer than the drivers side so you won't have to use an air bag), stock shocks, and 15x10 wheels with 5 1/2 back space & 28.5x10.5 slicks, 3:73 gear turbo 400 & mild 468bbc. This simple setup works real well. Consistant 1.59 to 1.65 60ft. in a heavy street car. I plan on upgrading the rear & front shocks & front springs. This should help even more. Hope this helps you.

 need help with what i beleive is a carb problem. car ran fine in sept and oct. 9.70 @136mph 1.39 60ft. went to track on nov 19. car hesitates at the hit. mph is still there but 60 ft is off 2 tenths and et 5 tenths!!!10.20 @136 1.6+ 60 ft. acts like a damn throttle stop !!!!comes alive about 200 ft. took carb apart no trash or dirt. cleaned and reassembled. same problem. have not changed any thing!!! what gives ?? please help . thanks

 If u have a MSD revlimit chip on yr transbrake or a two step, unplug the 2step or pull the rev chip out and try again with out'em.Its been awhile back,cant remember why it did it, but thats where it was.

 My chevelle is on one kit and is fast for what it is. As for Themos car its an all out limited street car, so, yes it shouldnt be heads up. I just rolled the dice and im waiting for them to settle.
