[> Subject: It will depend on what your TC will allow meaning even if it's open to other levels, your TC may not want to send dancers they feel aren't qualified to dance at a major. I'm certain it is in syllabus sent to TC's

[> [> Subject: Yep--teacher discretion means teacher discretion. Unless you are OC (and probably if you qualified for NAIDC 2020 as a PC), you will go only if your TC invites you to.

[> [> [> [> Subject: Yes, I suppose that is true. That would be painful, but allowable. I guess the least acceptable would be to qualify at Oireachtas and still be held back. Other than that, all bets are off, I would say.

[> [> [> [> Subject: Of course. In non-Covid years our TC will generally refuse to enter non-placing OCs unless they're high school seniors. This year with fewer opportunities to compete she's being more permissive.

[> Subject: To clarify, I had meant 'can' all age groups of prelims go, not 'will the TC allow it.' I was trying to find out if the TC 'could' even allow it, if it was permissible in the syllabus. But I guess there is nothing in writing available yet, since no links were provided. will wait for the syllabus - thanks for the replies

[> [> Subject: Yes--teacher's discretion now extended to all age groups for this year. It is in writing. It was in an email sent to all TCs. (Ours happened to share it with us).

[> [> Subject: I don’t see the social media posts anymore that said it will be released today... hopefully someone will share it when it is released since not all teachers forward it to families
