Subject: Interesting that this rule would apply here since this is a whole different school than the Kenny Academy. I'm happy for the dancers but I think it should also apply to the ones who left when the Kennys shut down their school. I hate to see anyone serve a ban for something the Kennys did, not the kids.

In reply to: enough said, rules were followed. 's message, "The rule, as stated on CLRG page is: Where two or more registered teachers are teaching a joint school, and one or more of them decides to leave the class and terminate the relationship, ONLY those pupils of the school who remain with any of the registered teachers previously in that joint school need not undergo the 6 month restyling period." Since Billy was TC w Kenny prior to dissolution, any dancers he teaches serve no ban" on 08:41:02 08/25/22 Thu

[> [> [> [> Subject: You need to read the rule more carefully. The rule applies to a TEACHER, not a school. Petrocelli dancers stayed with a former TEACHER at the Kenny Academy, so no ban. Not staying with a former teacher is a choice the dancers that transferred made, so just like anyone who chooses to transfer at any time they serve a ban. CLRG is being understanding of the situation and allowing the Oireachtas exemption for these dancers.

It’s not as if we were presented clear choices at the time. Some of the posts about this situation have been overly harsh. We all did our best with what we knew and didn’t know in the midst of a difficult situation.
