Subject: It's not standard across all regions because every region has the right to decide what works best for them. I think MAR has the right idea. With all these second-chance prelim comps giving kids 2 chances in the same day to get a 1st, not to mention all the feising opportunities in NE, it's truly never been easier to get to OC. I don't think it would be a bad idea to require 3 prelim firsts in order to move to champs. | |

Kids that did well in prelim may not even recall in the top half at feises in open (particularly if kids are in their early teens), so don't rush it. Enjoy the time in Prelim- Open isn't all it's cracked up to be ...unless your primary goal is to reach that level, which is definitely a good goal! [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |
