Tilana glanced at M'kar just before they took flight, eyes glittering dangerously as they brimmed with angry tears. Gaze was removed from the rider as she felt Kareen's muscle's tense beneath her, and the air grew heavy around her, causing her lungs to strain in breathing. Her own muscles grew taut as she held to the dragon's riding scales, the Skip a fast paced whirl of gray and browns. She found tears rolling down her cheeks, eyes becoming dry from the wind, causing her lids to shut tight. Now she understood why the riders wore the fit glass goggles, for they had to see through this onslaught of wind. Just as suddenly as they had entered, however, they exited the Skip, Kareen's body giving a halting lurch as she pulled from the stream. Almost immediately, a large black dragon was upon them, grabbing the Queen's wing in his strong jaws. Kareen let forth a shattering roar as she moved to counter attack, the jolt of battle causing the unexperience second rider to loose her balance and slid from her place. Hands grasped wildly for a hold, finding it to be Lady Aiyana's boot and footscale.
"Hold on, I'll help you up in a moment! Don't let go!" The LairLeader glanced about her as the other riders exited Skip. Knowing that the riders would not hear her above the battle roars of the dragons, she called to the dragons instead. Keep on guard! They've their dragons with them!
Suddenly both woman were jostled as the black dragon rammed his tail into Kareen's side, narrowly missing her rider's foot which the impact would have easily crushed. Aiyana leapt to grab Tilana's hand before she could fall, though pulling her back to her previous position was an impossible task. Instead of calling telepathically to her dragonbond, she yelled, "Kareen! Set us on the ground! I can't stay mounted and hold on to Tilana!"
The Blue fought her way from her opposer, dropping amoungst the throngs of Ghazard. Her jaw, dripping with blood, dropped open to brief a short bout of fire upon the creatures as Tilana drew her sword. Aiyana leapt off the dragon, patting her side and sending her back into the sky to finish her battle. "Stay close to my back, Rider, we mustn't get separated or we're doomed."
