The grey tip of her tail twitched irritably as she emerged from the water of the sluice, and she joined Kurai listening at the door. Muffled voices and footsteps came and went...then there was utter silence on the other side. Inserting her claw in the lock -- catlings did, after all, have that advantage -- she picked it without trouble, moving the tumblers until a click sounded. With a satisfied nod, she motioned Kurai through, guarding his back with largest dagger drawn. Once inside, she saw that her ears had not failed her -- there was no one in sight. Vysaere shut the gardener's door behind her and looked quickly around. There was a grand, curving staircase that reached to the second floor just ahead of them, and she nudged Kurai questioningly. Is this the one Nasim was talking about? she wondered inwardly.
