(She was mentally talking sense into herself as he guided her onto the elevator, and she smiled gently as he mentioned Shay's pregnancy.) I bet they are excited.. (She murmured quietly, then swallowed as she felt the baby kicking up a little nausea dance her inside her. She let out a deep, preperatory sigh, looking at her hazy reflection in the back of the stainless steel elevator door. They were about halfway up the building when she looked over at him and though she wasn't smiling her expression was serene.. resigned and ready. The way his eyes searched hers made her think that with his help.. with his hand on her.. she could do just about anything. He gave her the strength she needed in times like this.) Just.. don't abandon me to do any work stuff.. I don't know if I am ready for that yet. (She asked him quietly, knowing that since they were dropping off the dogs it probably wouldn't become necessary for him to do so, but at least wanting him to know she needed him. As he went through the security motions and then opened the doro a bit, she laid her hand against the back of his arm and gathered a little of the material of his shirt into her hand.) (He would shudder to think of just how much his men and women knew about his sex life.. it was just sort of.. violating, he supposed. Not that he had a choice. Shay told everyone everything.. so he had sort of learned to shut off his embarassment when the time became necessary to do so. He'd been sitting in his favorite recliner, nursing a beer and watching Chase play with the two pups they had kept from Skeeter. Though, when the door opened both Raymond and Winston took off to great Bambi and their litter mates. He looked up and smiled.) Come on in.. (He said softly, not wanting to rouse Shay if he didn't have to.. though he had this gut feeling she was just reading in the bedroom, not sleeping as he had suggested.)
