In reply to: SWEENEY TODD 's message, "Re: MAIN THREAD Penis frenulum tying (ligation) information and indicative photos" on 14:14:19 04/15/09 Wed

I'm having difficulty with cutting with the 4/0 suture and was thinking of switching to nylon fishing-type line as I was thinking the elasticity would help keep a constant pressure on the tissue. Now that I read your problems, I'm not as sure. Maybe finer nylon would work? Though I have concerns that with fine line that the cut will heal behind the line and essentially re-seal the cut!

The part of the frenulum I tied is very tendonous (very tough) so maybe it'll just take longer, or maybe it won't cut at all.

I'm just having a hard time believing that a line without elasticity would cut through. You'd think that as soon as the smallest cut was made, that the line would then go slack and stop cutting.

See my other posts for pics of the tying.

Thanks,

Davey
