Subject: Who's on board to pack up and move to Figi

How bad can life in a grass hut drinking coconut milk be?

today is 39 degrees with a wind chill factor of 29 and it's going to drop up to ten more degrees the rest of the day!

People this is the south!!

I know we're not buried in snow up north- but seriously Figi is looking really good. Who's in?

[> Ahh...the fabled isle of Figi! Is that anything like Fiji??? Either way, it seems so odd to hear of a Texas Tart complain aboutt the cold. Here in Vancouver, it is 38F and lovely and sunny. We do have frost and the pond is frozen, but it's pretty nice for January. Don't worry. Soon you'll be all toasty again.. -- Cece, 09:37:34 01/23/14 Thu [1]

[> [> [> This gives you the chance of lighting a fire and cozying up to your DH. Or how about sharing a warm, bubby bath with candles etc? Don't forget the hot chocolate and strawberries. Plus, you get to cuddle in bed with a warm blankey, without sweating to death, or having to use the a.c. -- Always Looking on the Bright Side-Cece, 11:38:23 01/24/14 Fri [1]

[> [> It was 23 at my friend in Virginias and 28 in Dallas- that's just SO wrong! - yesterday as we were freezing at 28 degrees (again) I fussed it was like living in NY again and my friend pointed out that at the moment living in NY is like being in Alaska- lol- so I'm going to enjoy todays 59 degrees (yes 30 degrees warmer than yesterday) until temps fall again on Monday- sigh -- chris k, 10:23:11 01/25/14 Sat [1]

[> I feel guilty living in otherwise frozen Canada, and it's 44F right now in Vancouver. Spring flowers are popping up all over, and the first cherry blossoms are starting. Am I bragging? Kind of. But a lot of people don't like all our rain and dreariness. I don't mind the rain mostly, unless it's the freezing type that comes with wind. But I'm a temperate/cool climate kind of gal.
