In reply to: Cathy F. God will provide hopefully! 's message, "The Hits just keep on coming. My Husband, Mike got laid off from work yesterday. It's the first time he has been without a job in 40 yrs. He's wondering around trying to figure out what to do next. He is a diabetic and has depression. He's afraid no one will hire him at 59 yrs. with his health problems. But, he did up date his resume today and started sending them out. We both need health insurance. I'm on Disiably after working for 38 yrs. Life has been tough since 2007 and doesn't seem to be getting better. Thanks for listening to me vent." on 23:12:43 03/30/11 Wed

Take as good of care of your health as possible -- eating right, getting enough exercise, and stay socially connected, somehow. Don't let yourselves get too isolated from friends and family networks. Sometimes, through the church or friends of friends, new opportunities arrive. I've also had to learn to keep a strict budget again -- after YEARS of living the good life. So many people who we thought were our friends dropped us -- they were only interested in the money and hobnobbing when we were the 'IT' people! Bah! I've actually enjoyed simplifying and budgeting. Oh, don't think it was easy for me, but I have learned through all of this what and who REALLY matters in life. I wish you well and will pray for you and yours.
