Subject: Has been a shaky day here today. Multiple earthquakes since 7 this morning. Is now almost midnight and have just had another 3. Hopefully they will only be light overnight. I am at work in the morning, but will get back as soon as possible and let you know what is happening. If you are interested got to geonet.org.nz or stuff.co.nz for updates and articles.

[> Well, the country seems to have settled down. mj, I think it is a mixture of better media coverage, but certainly more incidents as well. I have lived in NZ for 20 years and while there have always been quakes, I think the ones that have happened over the past 3 years have definitely been stronger and closer to the surface. We have had a few aftershocks, but nothing like the one that happened on Sunday (my time).
