[> Not too much from here. We are enjoying the relaxed pace of retirement, and are working on weeding out stuff from years of family life. Our motor home is winterized now, and parked away until spring...and I am already looking forward to the next trip. Not very exciting! -- Deemus, who is also doing lots of reading, 04:16:15 11/05/13 Tue [1]

[> Wait a minute - did I miss the conversation about the right diet? Sure could use one right about now, pants are just a little too tight. -- usmgrad, 07:34:52 11/05/13 Tue [1]

[> I swore off diets in 2005 when I joined Weight Watchers. It isn't a diet. It's all about portion control and setting up new habits. I lost 42 lbs. I go to weigh-ins every week, because the meeting are fun, and great support. Plus, I can keep track on creeping lbs. It's been 7 yrs since I got to my goal, and I have kept the weight OFF!!! Yay me. That beats all the odds with any diet plan, which are always too difficult to maintan for the rest of your life. On WW, I can eat anything I want.....just not the whole table. -- Cece, 14:17:00 11/05/13 Tue [1]

[> Summer was a bummer -- two surgeries in 2-1/2 mos: gall bladder removed then hernia repair in the same spot --it failed, now have to carry this thing that looks like a basketball under my shirt for at least 6 more months. inside for the fun stuff -- carramor, 10:38:13 11/19/13 Tue [1]

Took a four-day motor coach trip down to Biltmore Mansion/
Castle to see Christmas decorations -- well worth the trip. Also, the group went on to Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg for delightful lights, food, Dollywood, shopping, and some more shopping -- finished up my Christmas gifts! Highly recommend the bus tour thing -- didn't have to drive -- 7 hrs. each way -- didn't have to make reservations for any of the activities, nor stand in line to buy the tickets; didn't have to haul my 'treasures' from place to place; and, didn't have to read the first map!

[> [> well the trip part sounds like fun! - sorry to hear about all the surgeries - but at least good health is at the end of the road! -- chris k, 17:12:36 11/20/13 Wed [1]
