Long ago I worked for Holland America. Back then the engineers were mostly dutch. I was in an elevator with a woman chatting in english. Two officers were chatting in dutch. Then the woman turned & let them have it in dutch. The 2 men blanched. When I asked her what did you say she said she told them never assume people around you won't understand your language. She lived in england but was dutch. I asked her what did they say that ticked you off & all she would say is 'you don't want to know' - shrug. But I've had that happen often when folks don't realize I speak spanish. Can be fun!! LOL -- HarmyBoard LifeStyles
