Subject: Hope you're feeling better, Jenks! I've pulled the muscles in my neck before, and it hurts like heck!!!
In reply to: Cathy F. 's message, "Hi! I was suppose to have lunch today with another good Harmyboard, Jenks. We are not meeting because she has a horrific neck spasm. She's had it all week and has been to the DR. Would you all pray for her, that she gets some relief. She's a tough lady and never complains. So if she says she hurting, she's hurting. Please pray for her!!" on 07:50:34 08/17/12 Fri

[> Thank you all for your wishes. I have now been to the doctor's twice and HOPE this will be the last visit for a while. The biggest issue was to get the pain under control which ranked right up there with a category 10 hurricane. (inside) -- jenks, 14:47:03 08/19/12 Sun [1]

Couldn't sleep, couldn't lay down and be comfortable, etc. It is a pull that involves the main and largest muscle in the shoulder so the pain was shooting like needles to my brain, giving me headaches and making me sick to my stomach. Today, once again, I saw a doctor who put me in a cervical collar and prescibed a stronger pain med. Having been through a major leg surgery four years ago, we've found that the only pain med that works is Percoset which is powerful stuff. I may be a little fuzzy headed right now, but the pain has diminished to a 2 on the scale. If this doesn't work, next will be xrays. Keep your fingers crossed.

[> [> Oh goodness, jenks! I certainly hope you get some real relief soon. This kind of constant pain can be miserable to live with. I'll be thinking good thoughts and keeping all my fingers crossed! -- manette, 23:44:25 08/19/12 Sun [1]

[> [> oh heaves - that's what happened to me - I wrenched the crud out of my right sxhoulder in an accident when I was pregnant - suffered blinding headaches for so long and finaly a neurologist put me in a cervical collar - the hard ones and slowy everything changed - the tohther thing - was I had to swim daily without putting my head in the water - turning my head side to side. He was the only doctor able to fix me - i lived like that for almost two years before I found him. -- chris k, 06:31:31 08/21/12 Tue [1]
