Subject: I do some couponing, but not as much as I used to do. Part of it is probably that we're empty nesters, and there's no kid stuff to buy, but it also seems that there are fewer useful coupons in general. I'm not interested in buying two or three packages of a product I've never tried, or of something I can't use up. I am very conscious of how much I would really save over what I'd usually buy. I still usually have four or five coupons when I do a weekly food shopping, but I used to have fifteen or twenty regularly. My closest store, instead of doing their own coupons, now has specials that automatically register when you use the store card. They also do double coupons, up to a dollar, but most of them are now at least a dollar. The store keeps a running total of savings, which includes sale prices as well as coupons, and even with just the two of us here, I usually save close to $1,000 in a year.

[> I use couponmom.com. They have those great matching lists where they tell you what is on sale at a particular store and where the coupons are for those products. And if you need something that is not on sale and can't wait for a sale, they have a wonderful coupon database where you just look up the product you need and it tells you which coupon insert it is in. -- JJ (Ronda)--It's great because you only cut out the coupons you are going to use at that time. Otherwise you leave all your inserts intact each week for ease of future searching., 19:45:20 01/24/12 Tue [1]
