Author: The Chief - I'm a firm believer that the "bad luck" that comes your way is usually as a result of bad choices you make
Subject: I usually "think" about the common superstitions when I see them happen (black cat, etc), but don't put any stock in them. I don't walk under Ladders because it's not safe in general. I open umbrellas in the house tho - how are they going to dry out? I had a roommate who was always throwing salt over her shoulder (she made a lot of popcorn, spilled a lot of salt). I think there was a whole shaker-full in our carpet when we moved out.

[> I'm not really a superstitious person, but I cant say that, when I hear that its Friday the 13th, that I dont think of possible bad luck. I dont base my life on it, I'm not afraid to take a trip or plan anything important that day. As sick as the Friday the 13th movies were, maybe they've made their mark on our culture, at least in the short term, who knows? -- mkim, 12:39:54 05/13/11 Fri [1]
