Author: Jam - neither money nor "PC" can make this right. You have a qualifying round, the best should qualify, end of story. Otherwise, why are nations allowed to send more than 2 athletes into the qualifying rounds at all??
Subject: Oh, I`m with you on that one!
In reply to: The Chief 's message, "I was looking it up, and I think it was THREE until 2004, or something. Not sure. And even if it's about money, it's still horrible. Oh, hey, you're the 3rd best in the world, but of the 24 who will compete for the medal, you'll be sitting out so Uzbeckistan can watch their 100th best in the world athlete on tv in prime time so their Uzbekistani widget sellers can have more air time for their ads. Sickening. It should be the BEST, based on SCORE ALONE, not some stupid idea about sharing the airwaves, money or not." on 23:41:05 07/31/12 Tue
