I think we all knew or assumed that at least part of the staff was not "legal". I, personally, have wondered how they did not get busted for that. The one of US 50, also appears to have some illegals working there. It appears that this case is really not about the illegal status as much as it is the fraud used to make them look legal (i.e. fake SSN's and tax returns).

My confusion on this case is the fact that Lopez was voted Business Man of the year in 2011 and (after being a great and successful business man) the City of Lawrenceburg GRANTED (meaning gave with no repayment necessary) him $200,000 to finish the expansion and parking lot. That appears to contradict itself. He is great and has a profitable business....lets give him money so he can profit even more....Someone please explain to me why Lawrenceburg gives money to people who are making money? Why not give to non-profits helping people...do you know how many coats and warm clothing warm the children could have purchased with that $200,000? It isn't like they gave it to him so he could hire more local citizens and help stimulate the economy in Lawrenceburg. Everyone knew there was no one local working there....apparently no one was even a citizen of the USA.....
