The 8th amendment also was violated with the excessive bail in the amount of $600,000 for D felony charges. I do believe that Doug Taylor was charged with 2 felonies and yet he is a book and release, and he has already admitted to charges that are far more "intimidating". What says, "vote for me or else" like showing up in a police uniform to a campaign event? Then he is suspended WITH pay until they can figure out a plea deal where they slap his hand.
