Subject: On the take in Greendale Author: Dopey (I think I need to go puke) [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 10:57:07 10/06/11 Thu Can someone shed some light on the the current Mayor and city attorney of Greendale not paying several thousand dollars of property taxes? How does one not pay property taxes and then be eligible to receive grant money into the hundreds of thousands of dollars? At the very least it seems completely improper to be a sitting mayor and to try to pull this off for his personal gain. So your telling me the city is worried about losing $30,000 or so due to bad debt with unpaid utility bills so they raise the deposit to a staggering $450.00 to turn the electric on. However it is no problem to give grants into the hundreds of thousands of dollars to the mayor and the city attorney. Can someone explain this to me am I misinformed?
