The Seven Network - perhaps stung by the ignition failure of "tent-pole TV" such as Flash Forward and The Event - seems to have been shopping in the rip-offs aisle for new series that match ones that have worked for them in the past.

Imagine their delight at snapping up Good Christian Bitches (its US title is Good Christian Belles), which has a distinctly Desperate Housewives desperation about it.
