I just noticed that the release date for The Rainbow Tribe on IMDB has been changed to Aug. 21 2008. I'm not sure what that means exactly since most movies are released on Fridays, and the 21st is a Thursday. Just an observation, but in ogling the screen caps below from “Love Sick” I noticed HAE’s eyes looked hazel, not green/blue. Is it just my computer? Or could he be wearing colored contacts for the role? I know, there’s so much to look at it’s hard to focus on above his neck only , but I’m curious if HAE’s eyes appear brownish to anyone else.   - I had my misgivings about this movie too. But, I really do think this movie has something to say, though i dont think 2 hours is enough to do it. I wish there had been another hour, so that we could see more of the 'journey' to wellness, so that I could understand her addiction. The author posted her thoughts on the commentary after the movie on the DJEfan site. I think it was courageous of her to share this problem with the world & open herself up to ridicule.         Indeed, sexual addiction (or whatever it is -- looking for love in all the wrong places addiction, maybe?!) seemed glamorous with such beautiful people depicting it. And, like I said, in my post above -- considering the theme of the movie and considering that HAE has such a powerful , sexual screen presence, it just seemed twisted to cast him in this role!         He was definitely NOT a good guy in this movie, not one characteristic I saw could be seen as sympathetic. Did I LOVE seeing this guy on TV? YES!!         I loved seeing DJE ( WOW!). He did a great job, I didn't dislike him nor did I think that he was wonderful.         interesting comment - thank you for sharing. I never gave it any thought but I can see where like any addiction someone could use sex the same as others use drinking or gambling - We can attribute any of it to lack of self control or we can call it a disease. I'm a strong willed person so I consider it lack of self control- but regardless - the truth is that with any Vice- the thrill always comes before loved ones - that's true of gamblers who lose their homes, alcoholics who embarrass their families and sex addicts who sleep their spouse's friends.     - JMO, but DJE probably saw the role as a challenge. He is great in the Harm and the Jimmy style role, both wonderful three dimensional emotional characters, h/e this part was more one dimensional with a display of unhealthy emotions. In lots of ways that is the more difficult role to play. I love to see him in the family friendly roles, but he flexed his acting muscles a little bit (and his real muscles alot thank goodness). - I haven't seen all of the movie- but I've seen parts, read the comments, read part of the book and so I have a bit of a feel for the story and the characters. And I just have to say that I've known so many 'nice' people who acted exactly this way to their own detriment-- not to mention those around them. From what I saw I thought the movie turned out much better than what I expected & clearly since DJE has just been given the lead in a 4 hr 13million $ mini series- it hasn't hurt his career. The truth is- it's probably helped his career because the whole point of acting is to be able to portray ANYTHING & WELL. He's done that. He's played good guys, heroic guys, suffering guys (TMWLH) & now a sleazy hunk -& yes that man looked so good.
