Well I finally saw what the man looked like (Jerry Bruckheimer), he was on Glenn Becks show tonight talking about the last installment of Pirates of the Carrabian- spelling maybe off & what an actor he has in J. Depp & how is good looking and all & like a Clark Gable. Neither 1 of them put together can hold a candle to "The Man", DJE.

- I've never understood the fuss over Depp. Now, Cary, yumm. He was Class with a cap C. Love watching him act, mostly in the romantic comedies he was so good at doing. I heard yesterday that CBS is talking to that horrible Rosie O'Donnell about doing a talk show. So is this the new image CBS wants to project? Yea, they'll get the younger demographic but it will just attract the stupid ones.

- The article said that even David James Elliott cou not save the show. The reason for htat is that they did not use. They promoted him as being on the show and then used him only sparingly. CBS has published their Fall schedule including mid season shows and Close To Home is no where to be seen so appears they did not renew it for another year. For all the fans of this show I am very sorry. Don't know how it could have done any better on Friday nights than it did.

- The most ironic thing is that I went to transfer this last season to DVD f rom my digital DVR and someone in my house erased 10 episodes from October, November and December! Now, I'll never get them. This is why I got the stupid DVR, thinking that when the season was over, I could transfer the eipsodes and have them all together, no tapes, just DVD's. Oh well. - It did so well on Friday nights, but I guess not well enough in the prefered demographics. What I don't get is that if CBS cancelled JAG because they didn't like the demographics, then whey did they bring in the JAG guy? - I thought these last three episodes were so well done, though if the show had been renewed, I would have been very sorry to see Maureen go. - I don't understand. The show was such low maintenance. No promos or any attention. Still it always won the time slot and frequently the night. That says a lot. Still they'd rather show Zombies. Did u know CTH was a comedy? Yes, my local paper that I got this morn had an article in the tv section about the new lineup & whats gone & it said cancelled was the comedies The Class & Close To Home. Newspapers never get anything right.

My guess is they're going to go for demographics friendly -

I'm thinking maybe a really young, hot, good looking guy who does well with the ladies - type A to buck horns a bit with Conlon (think dream team only well done) and to create a little competitive spark between annabeth and him - even though annabeth has the nice cop we all like.

or maybe a really hot, not quite so young- but not too old either - sort of a desperate housewife age to flaunt the audience with a Jimmy match though they won't go there cause JB doesn't do relationship shows.

or do you think they'd go so far as to bring in a new ADA who actually has psychic instincts? OY!!!

What do y'all think? Like any of those ideas, have any others - what would you do?

- I was thinking that Det. Ewing is the new guy with Maureen's spot not filled. That would leave some more time for DJE and he and AB would have to work closer together. But I'm happy for any scenario as long as DJE is back!! That was such a good group of characters in the last scene and it made me more fond of everyone of them. - WOW! This was such a great episode. You're right, Corinne. There are a lot of stories left to tell. Especially now that the show's writers have hit their stride and nailed down the characters they are writing about. As always, DJE did a terrific acting job. Watching the emotions traverse his face while he was watching Maureen's testimony took me back to the final scene in "Critical Condition", when Harm finally breaks down and cries upon hearing that Bud will survive. I'm glad I didn't complain TOO much, in view of this a.m.'s news! Where the tornadoe(s) hit last night was approximately 60 miles almosst directly south of here!! And they (and we) aren't "out of the woods" yet!! Apparently the next two or three days/nights are going to be a wild weather ride!! (Probably won't really affect us here in this specific spot--very seldom does, actually!) It is kinda "ugly" out, though--very windy and kinda gray outside.

Did any 1 notice we didn't have mostly geritol type ads in this ep? They had some different ads & I only noticed 1 prescrition medicine ad. I hope this is a good sign. Maybe the advertisers finally saw the light & can see that this is & has the potential to be an excellent show & needs to be promoted alot more!!! IMHO.

Excellent ep. At the end when it says to be con't it caught me off guard. Did anyone notice the cast in this one alot of them were on Jag? The one Judge at the beginning & the other judge in the chambers, he looks familiar but I can't place him. The cop named Flynn & the other cop who offered to stay overnite at AB was the marine helo pilot that went shooting the cannons into the barn in an ep of JAG. Can' wait til next wks ep. This is a good one. Kept you on the edge of your seat.
