- Bring on the new ep's! Won its timeslot, beat GW, same rating as Numb3rs, altho a fraction less viewers. Lost 1st place in in A18-49 demo by WifeSwap, but had 3.2 million more viewers than WifeSwap. 5.4 rating vs. "Shark's" 5.6 rating, but had more viewers than rerun of "Shark." I know Cress Williams' character is on vacation in the series, but does anyone know why the actor himself has not been in the last two episodes? Is he sick? Did he quit the show?

If CTH is doing better in the ratings from last yr. wins its time slot every wk. causing other networks to ax or scramble their lineup against it, wonder if they ever considered moving it to another day & time. IMHO I think Sat. is a worst day than Fri. I would like to c CTH in JAGS old time slot but then I think about Amer. Idol oops! Although I think JAG did very well against it. But Idol has more publicity now. I think CTH would do even better if they just promo'd it more imho.

- That's the problem. They never promote it. They promote Numb3rs and GW on tv and their website and on demand, but not CtH. Still it always wins its timeslot. About a man who sent a letter asking for forgiveness to a woman he raped 21 years prior. That is similar to the case on CTH a couple of weeks ago. Does anyone know if they took the premise from the ep from this true story?

Saw Cress Williams on JAG this morning. Who knew that 12 years later they would be together in another show? If CTH gets cancelled I hope the press doesn't make it reflect on DJE and I hope DJE bounces back this September in another show. I couldn't stand waiting until 9/2008 to see DJE again in a series. - I think thats as close as we'll get to Ausiello backing off from saying the show was all but cancelled, a few months ago.   - I dont think he's going to delve deep into the corruption angle...in that way. Bruckheimer shows, imho, 'touch' on a subject and leave the decisions of the right or wrong of an issue to the audience, most of the time. I like that, and its true with this show especially. I think the cases are getting weaker & more desperate. If this show is on the bubble, why not look for something weightier? Why not keep the viewers on the edge of their seats & panting for more?

The case last night couldn’t have been more…boring?...predictable?...UNPROVEN?! I kept waiting for the magic evidence that proved the kid was guilty. There wasn’t any…ANY! Their only evidence was the confession of the victim, and she recanted! There was absolutely NOTHING to put the kid at the scene. They convicted him simply because he was smug, smooth & unlikable. So what he lied about his alibi, that doesn’t put him at the scene. There wasn’t one iota of proof that he was even in the vicinity of the house, much less in it. NO evidence, NO witness…NOTHING. By the way, the white jumpsuit they claimed he wore…NOT waterproof! We use those at the hospital for fathers to put on over their clothes to attend their wife’s delivery. If I’m running late & don’t have time to change, I’ll throw one of them over my clothes. I also then cover it with a plastic cover apron or use a waterproof drape. Otherwise when the OB hands off the baby, my clothes get covered in blood & goo, BECAUSE the white jumpsuits don’t protect your clothes from anything. I would have expected the perp to be covered in blood after that gruesome murder scene, but they could find anything!

If this show is supposed to stand-up to all the other legal dramas out there, they need something more than an attractive cast…as gorgeous as Jimmy is…that alone won’t cut it. Their cases in the beginning of the season were so much better. They always caught you with a thrilling revelation in the end. But lately, the proof of the case is that AB thinks the perp is guilty, so he/she must be…period end of discussion. There’s no work to PROVE the guilt or innocence of the accused. Their proof is simply that the accused, or their attorney, is unlikable, showboats or performs for the jury. That’s NOT the way it should be done.

Am I the only one who kept waiting for more??? Sad thing is, this is the only show I watch on TV…and that’s only because I miss Harm & Mac. In the beginning of the season, I thought the show might really be something…now, I’m not so sure. Jimmy’s pretty face alone just isn’t cutting it, anymore…

- Overall, I enjoy the quality of the show. Even though Jimmy-litte, this story kept my interest throughout. I despised the son more and more (and the mother too). I thought there was evidence -- the fabrication of the letter, the EMT's testimony, etc. I watch few other shows (NCIS, Boston Legal, Ghost Whisperer), and granted, I would not likely tune in to GW or CTH if it were not for DJE, but neveretheless I do enjoy both shows. - The thing is…this show is supposedly on the bubble. Last night’s show, felt like everyone was bored with the show & ready for it to be cancelled. The writers wrote a mediocre script & the actors did very little to add excitement. It was like everyone knew it was over & felt they had an obligation to fill a 1-hour time slot…or they wouldn’t get paid. - I too was waiting for the magic piece of evidence that was supposed to put the nails in the coffin, so to speak. I guess the letter and picture not being wet from the rain was supposed to be it, but it didn't seem like enough to me. There was nothing to prove he didn't do it, but there was nothing to prove he did do it either. It just all seemed vague to me. Sure the mom ID'ed him and she was A&OX3 or whatever it was, but maybe she was in shock. I would think that after something so traumatic, she was bound to be in shock. - I focused more on what I thought the real point of this one was..and that is the way so many parents these days shield there children from the consequenses of their actions. This was an extreme case- but I've known so many parents who would have lied to protect the kids scholarship-- would have protected them from mean daddy making him earn his own way in the world. - I think the writers leave a shadow of a doubt most of the time. It seems to me that we could revisit a great many of the cases and come to another conclusion. - Guys, if you read my second post, I said I want the show to succeed. I think they did a much better job with their cases in the beginning of the season. The one with the psychiatrist dad & crazy mom was great. The one with the rape victims where the guy sewed things in the quilt was well done.   - I just thought we were supposed to believe the mother's first accusation once it was proved that she had no memory of the event after she woke up. She couldn't recant what she couldn't remember and that what she said to the paramedics would still hold up. I agree that finding more evidence to tie him to it would have been nice.   - mkim, the other part that frustrates me…they play the cases like the legal system, police force, judges & jurors don’t know any better. This show is set in Indianapolis, NOT a small town. I know IJ left the big city, but Indy isn’t small potatoes. We have detectives, crime labs, prosecutors with law degrees, jurors with brains & common sense. It’s like they’re playing Indy as some ‘hickville’ city where we can’t get it right.
