  I hope you'll humor me, but I thought I'd post a little dialog from one of my favorite movie scoundrels and his princess. The banter, the shipperness, the payoff... Ah!

  This is from the Futon Critic and here's the part about "Scoundrels."
  
  SCOUNDRELS - PREMIERES SUNDAY, JUNE 20 (10:00-11:00 p.m.) - "Scoundrels" is a one-hour comedy/drama series produced by ABC Studios that focuses on a family of small-time criminals who try to go straight after the father is sent to prison. Virginia Madsen, Independent Spirit Award winner as well as an Academy Award and Golden Globe nominee ("Sideways," "The Astronaut Farmer"), will play Cheryl West, the mother who must take charge and try to keep her kids on the straight and narrow.
  
  "Scoundrels" also stars David James Elliott as Wolfgang "Wolf" West; Patrick Flueger as Logan West/Calvin "Cal" West; Leven Rambin as Heather West; Vanessa Marano as Hope West and Carlos Bernard as Sergeant Mack.
  
  "Scoundrels" is based on a New Zealand series entitled "Outrageous Fortune." Lyn Greene & Richard Levine ("Nip/Tuck") and Francie Calfo serve as executive producers. John Barnett, whose company, South Pacific Pictures, produces the New Zealand series, will also be an executive producer. Co-executive producers will include Michael Larkin, Michael Goldstein, Bruce Cervi and John Lansing.

  New marching orders!
  In this new age of social networking and texting and twittering, we are able to keep up with some of the happenings on the set of DJE's new show through twitter. Sunset has already discovered some fun tweets by DJE's co-star, Virginia Masden. I'm sure she'll be posting more in the future. The younger people on the cast will surely be tweeting, too.
  
  So let's keep our eyes peeled on twitter, following these actors and bringing over any tweets they post about DJE on the show. I have a hunch DJE himself won't be tweeting. He has readily admitted to never being much of a tech-savvy person. But we can keep up with him through the others.
  
  If anyone wants to volunteer to keep up with one particular actor (like Virginia Masden), or to search twitter for any DJE listings, that'd be great.

      • I think he agreed at first that its a sex scene between a husband and wife but its probably close to HBO style that he felt really uncomfortable taking the role. This makes me respect the man even more.       • Sex scenes can be presented tastefully and be memorable. Sex scenes or no sex scenes, I think the bottom line is whether Scoundrels turns out to be good show. There are so many other factors to be considered such as plots, characterizations, writing, dialogues, presentation, pace, believability, acting etc. Even if the sex scenes were not really necessary, I don’t think viewers especially the regular posters on this blue board will complain about seeing DEJ’s bare skins if Scoundrels is overall, a quality show!       • All good points. And, no, I won't be a smidgen upset to see skin -- LOL! And, DJE, even in Secrets of a Sex Addict, has never done any gratuitous violence or sex. Some actors and their spouses and families can handle the 'steamy' sex or love scenes, for that matter. IMHO, intense LOVE scenes are a far more difficult emotive experience to deliver and not have collateral 'damage' from than sex scenes. Anyhow, as I was saying, some actors can handle it and some can't. If NM can't and pulled out -- great for him, if DJE can handle it and carries the role -- great for him AND us fans!!     • Spot on, Chief. Is he really having trouble being cast in a good part (there are rumors to this effect) or is he trying to show that he is versatile as a actor? Or is he or his agent making bad decisions about his roles? And his bad parts haven't just been recently. During his years in JAG, he appeared in that awful role in "The Shrink is In" which, IMO, did nothing for his career. This new role may appeal to some people, but I don't enjoy horror pixs, so I'll pass. Funny how CB's career has flourished since JAG, but DJE's hasn't seemed to go in the right direction.   • I actually love a good thriller, and at least, this movie is a 'made-for-TV' one and not in the category of some movies that he's made that were supposed to hit the big screens, but haven't even made it to TV, let alone DVD.   • DJE shoots a gun and they call him 'soldier' in the trailer. I will watch just to see DJE in action which will remind me of Harm.       • Yeah, all the reports I heard said that DJE's agent requested a meeting to open up season 11 contract negotiations, and he was ignored. TPTB seem to prefer people to find out about things indirectly. That's how DJE's wife found out that her character was being killed off (and, by extension that she was out of a job).       • This all goes to prove how fickle fame and fortune are and, certainly, that to make it in Hollyweird and to SUSTAIN a decent career path, one needs more than just incredible raw talent. Really, there are many more actors who are not 'Oliviers', but who seem to keep getting cast in A-list stuff, while other really decent, wonderful actors do a great role or two and then are, indeed, ignored.             • I think we have different definitions of "carry the show". Yes, JAG was cancelled after season1, but that wasn't DJE's fault. It had more to do with the fact that the show just plain needed revamping. Yes, the new ensemble of characters was VERY important to the success of JAG, and when AJ left, it hurt the show. If Mac had left, it would have severely hurt the show, if it survived at all. But there is no doubt in my mind that if they took away the star and central character of the show, that would have killed it on the spot. CBS knew that. DPB knew that and it hurt his ego. It's true -- S-9 is being shown on FX again at noon every day (weekedays only, I think) and the same episode repeats on FX+1 at 1 pm. I saw that 'Impact' did air before the holidays, but 'Secrets of a Sex Addict' was airing onthe DIVA channel on New Years Day and the day after, but I haven't seen it scheduled again yet.
