[> I enjoyed it. I hope DJE will be in it more. I don't think the rest of the cast can carry the show on it's own. It definetly needs DJE. We'll have to see how it goes. It's hard to top Harm!! -- Cathy F. but I would like to Top Harm!!, 00:02:47 06/21/10 Mon [1]

[> Not bad but writing a little weak. Am curious to see where they go from here. Saw rating not very good for it so could mean they might not even air all the episodes they made. Have seen the networks do that. DJE was good but not sure if like his character after the talk with the wife to stay out their side of the buisness. -- Hope, 13:25:21 06/21/10 Mon [1]

[> [> I agree, Hope. This guy is scary...which makes DJE good at what he does, but I dont know if I want to watch...you know, I dont know if it was power of suggestion but, he even looked like a wolf at times(and not the kind you'd want to bring home and domesticate). LOL!!! -- mkim, 15:41:34 06/21/10 Mon [1]

[> Wolf West is cute, but he ain't no Harm! Sorry, but I'm finding it hard to get excited about a family of criminals. I expect that perfect mouth to start spewing things about "truth", "honor", and "justice". The wife reminds me of a blonde Peg Bundy and the kids are losers. I liked the smart daughter and that was about it. DJE's shirtless scene was um, inspirational, but I am struggling to be interested in watching again, let alone becoming addicted to the show. -- TH, 15:59:21 06/21/10 Mon [1]

[> I'm actually relieved that others have expressed concerns about this show. I thought maybe it was just me and that I was missing something. I wanted to like this show, but I couldn't. Bad writing, bad humor. Characters who do not inspire me to care what happens to them. Why would viewers want the Wests to turn into upstanding citizens? They would be even more boring than they are now. I love to watch DJE onscreen, but not in this show. -- Araninda, 17:17:27 06/21/10 Mon [1]

[> I'll reserve a final opinion on this show, but I'm not jumping for joy. I'm so used to heroic Harm-type characters that I find it hard to see DJE's character as a criminal. There were some funny parts, and some pretty stupid parts. If DJE weren't on it, I wouldn't bother to watch again, but since he is, I'll give it another try. -- Deemus, 18:20:18 06/21/10 Mon [1]

[> I only watched because DJE was in it and he is good as Wolf. Wolf being in jail makes me wonder if we will see very little of him like it was only a few minutes a week on CTH. Although every article where Virginia Madsen is mentioned they also mention that she had an Academy Award nomination for some movie but I don't think she has what it takes to carry the show. I'll watch again but they need more to make it a not miss show for me. Inside -- Jeanaz8, 19:36:54 06/21/10 Mon [1]

ABC put a lot of money into advertising for this show so I am sorry to hear the ratings were low as someone said. They will probably show all episodes during the summer since there are only 8 of them. If the ratings are low with DJE in it imagine how bad they would have been if he had not replaced the other actor that is not as well known.

[> I have to agree with all the comments above. If not for DJE, I probably wouldn't have watched it either. Maybe the show will develop as it goes along....... -- carramor, 19:45:02 06/21/10 Mon [1]

[> To be honest I dont see how great an actress Madsen is. DJE is superior than her(I know I may be biased, lol). DJE is popular because of Harm but Neal McDonough is big enough too because of Band of Brothers and his good resume too.Remember he does both TV and the bigscreen and looks like he bailed out not only for the sex scenes but the poor script. - inside -- Gretchen - enjoyed Dad's home than Scoundrels, 19:54:15 06/21/10 Mon [1]

Many critics didnt show love to the show but I gave it a shot and even when the loyal fans of Outrageous Fortune were hating it I didnt listen to them but looks like critics and fans have a point. I prefer the original The Office but America's version on NBC was pretty good due to Steve Carrell and their TV couple Jim and Pam. Im surprised the ratings were not powerful considering the firepower of ABC's promotion on Scoundrels. The audiences reading on other TV forums didnt really warm up to the show so time will tell I suppose.

I dont feel bad for NM at all he is getting lots of movie offers and will get bigger landing a role in Capt.America and the bigger joint franchise teaming up Capt.America,Hulk and Iron Man in The Avengers.

[> I thought it was kind of comical, the crooks going straight and all but my one and only reason for watching was DJE. I'll probably stick it out and watch all the episodes but I'm not sure it will get picked up for more than this season unless it gets much better than that! -- Ciara, 21:44:33 06/21/10 Mon [1]

[> I've been wondering how to say what I mean about this show last night...I'll go inside because I'm always over -- fananicfan, 23:37:31 06/21/10 Mon [1]

I thought it was okay...I think if you like Desparate Housewives, you'll like it. It was kind of campy, but I think that was the intent of the writers so watching it from that "it's going to be a little over the top" view, I found it to be funny in spots, slow in spots, etc.
My biggest reservation was in the pairing of VM with DJE. If VM used the word "chemistry" one more time in an interview I was going to hurl. I figured she was trying to convince us that there was, when there was none. I'm happy to say that they did seem to click. It was certainly not CB and DJE sizzle, but it wasn't the train wreck I was expecting.
Still my favorite role for DJE is Harm, but I thought he did a good job as Wolf and will tune in next week to see him in this role, knowing that it's going to take me a couple of episodes to get my head wrapped around the fact that DJE is back in a weekly series, and not as a lawyer, LOL.
Any way, that's my two cents worth.

[> [> You're right fananicfan - inside -- Gretchen, 01:19:41 06/22/10 Tue [1]

Nothing comes close to what DJE and CB had with Jag. The chemistry they had those two made it their own. If only DB saw that asset just think of the endless possibilities.LOL! The steam factor of VM and DJE is not all that and way too common on primetime and cable.

[ Edit | View ]

[> [> I feel I must clarify after reading other comments. I can don't want to take up a lot of space, but I am willing and able to let DJE move on to other roles, and I like Wolf so far. It's just if I were asked, I couldn't say that Wolf is my favorite character he's portrayed, who knows, at the end of the 8 weeks, it may be Wolf, or Wolf may be second choice, but I'm watching and I don't "see " Harm when DJE is on screen. I can let DJE move on. -- fananicfan, 12:20:57 06/22/10 Tue [1]

[> I have to disagree with a lot of you. I liked the show. It's different and while I don't normally root for criminals, this isn't supposed to be taken seriously. It's off beat, kind of like me. LOL I like that she's going to try and get her crazy family to go straight. it's different. It's the first thing that DJE has been in that I really wanted to watch. He has a good sense of comic timing. I've read several reviews and all but one were good. And it came in second last night in its time slot which isn't bad. Summer shows never do as well as the fall ones. I'll be watching again. -- judi, 01:41:26 06/22/10 Tue [1]

Hi judi and jenks, I'm glad I'm not alone in this world. :-) Now for the movies that were on I'll go inside... -- Carrotts, 09:54:01 06/22/10 Tue [1]

Dad's Home. I had to think long and hard on this one. I think I blame the writing. It was a movie, tell the story and wrap it up. I shouldn't go "huh" at the end, unless Part II shows next week or there is going to be a sequel.

Confined. I watched it like I used to watch the Soaps.... back when I watched the soaps. You could go away for weeks at a time and come back and still catch the story line. Okay I didn't go away for weeks, but I did channel surf (a lot) and when I came back it was like the actor was just finishing the same sentence they had started when I left. How slow could that thing move? AND, do not get me started on stupid people in horror movies. I can not abide stupid people in horror movies. I find myself rooting for them to die to put us all out of our misery.. yes, I would find humor in that.

[ Edit | View ]

[> [> [> Carrotts, your humor is my humor. LOL I tried watching Dads Home and it was too syrupy for me. Good for kids, maybe. Good for adults? Not this one. Other movies I didn't bother with. I'll always love Harm and we can still enjoy him in reruns. But I want to let DJE move on. -- Judi, 11:40:22 06/22/10 Tue [1]

[> [> I'm with you, judi! It didn't help that I'd seen so much of this already in previews so my reaction to it wasn't fresh. I'll be interested to watch the next episodes- and I've always liked DJE's comic timing. I'm ready for more! -- manette, 14:47:33 06/22/10 Tue [1]

[> Sorry. I tivo'ed this, so I just got a chance to watch it. Somehow, after seeing DJE's backside in that bed, I totally did NOT pay a great deal of attention to the script! I think that this show might get some legs and run if they keep the dysfunctional/functional family idea going. -- Greta, 11:44:04 06/22/10 Tue [1]

[> Wow! I'm surprised that so many people here didn't like it. I loved VM's strong role, and could really feel her frustration. I totally think she can carry it. I also liked the oddball kids, and the humour. BTW, I was not interested in watching "funny" murderers in Sopranos, but this is more like the gang who couldn't shoot straight. It was fun and interesting. And DJE? TG he gets to play a scoundrel. I may or may not like him--time will tell. But I can compartmentalize DJE/Harm. They are special and tucked away in my pleasant memories. -- Cece, 17:26:11 06/22/10 Tue [1]
