Author: I wouldn't
Subject: Being completely practical for a moment, remember that for feis vendors this is their livelihood. If they travel 300 miles or so and spend two days on their stalls plus loading and unloading their vans, they need to make a profit on all of that or they go hungry. Now, if there are two similar vendors at an ordinary feis there will almost certainly not be enough customers to go around. If you were a feis vendor, and you knew another vendor was going to a feis, would YOU go?
In reply to: mumm 's message, "Hi, I have a complaint, I'm fed up of going to feis and seeing the same vendor, I'd like a choice of who to buy my wigs from, I have a choice who to buy my daughters dress from, who to buy my shoes from. WHY oh WHY am I not allowed to choose who to buy my childs wig from." on Thu, Feb 15 2007, 23:06:39

[> [> I think the gist of the conversation is that other vendors are being ought out by one particular one in person, they'd love to go to feis and give parents and children the opportunity of CHOICE but aren't being allowed its not about them not making enough money they aren't being given the opportunity to earn any -- my thoughts, Sat, Feb 17 2007, 21:33:26 [1]

[> [> [> I was told this as well by one vendor at the all irelands, they are kept out by someone who pays a back hander to the feis organisers. No surprises that this side of feising is corrupt as well. -- SR Mum, Sun, Feb 18 2007, 16:15:47 [1]
