Subject: I think the problem is that everyone including very average dancers are running off to get a 'Gavin' thinking this will improve their results when it is the dancing that counts. Everyone else then thinks they need a Gavin etc to keep up. Where will it stop and people get a grip
In reply to: Who rules the roost? 's message, "Ok so I read in the Irish Post that parents are havng a hard time with the cost of ID, and are blaming tcs commision(sp) etc.. Parents when are we going to take the control and stop spending 1,000 on a dress, If you want to do all the feis in every country, then STOP complaining, too many parents want their dd to follow the latest trends, Stop encouraging your dds to keep up with the kid next door. What are you teaching them. We are responsible for the overall layout of feis, dresses etc. I know tcs and adjs are to blame for lots of thing in ID, but parents when are you going to stop playing the blame game?" on Fri, Feb 09 2007, 17:15:40

[> [> in reply to 'imho', I second that totally. The concentration on costumes is also a distraction from other more important or serious issues. -- Lets have dance without the 'catwalk' please!, Thu, Mar 01 2007, 0:43:11 [1]
