Frank was correct I worked for ESSO for ten years and they had two designs MK1 and MK2. The MK1 was at its best light ship and stuck out below the water line in ballast and was worth an extra knot. The MK2 was less gracefull and was higher up but at its best loaded ship but was a slight advantage in ballast hope that is of interest.
