Date Posted: 3/01/08 8:53am In reply to: Percy 's message, "Re: Another strike container ship!!" on 3/01/08 6:24am Sorry for the missed 'n' on the heading, along with the spelling error!! it should read 'Another stricken container ship'!! She is off the bank now and afloat, having been pulled off stern first by 3 tugs, I believe now anchored about 1 mile off the UK coast whilst they decide where to take her for hull inspections. She had a German Master & either European or Filipino Officers. Her current owners are Conti Reederei (or more correctly a K.G. fund managed by Conti). As with most of Conti vessels, the ship management is handled by NSB Niederelbe Schiffahrtsges. MbH & Co. K.G., Buxtehude. (www.reederei-nsb.com). She is currently on a long-term charter to Italia Marittima SpA, which is part of the Taiwanese Evergreen group, and operating on their China-Europe-Mediterranean Service (CEM). Her sailing draft from Hamburg was 12.18m, just for the record!! [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
