Date Posted: 9/12/07 6:45am Has anyone ever worked on merchant ships that dumped arms and munitions in the Beauford Dyke?. This is a deep water channel between Isle Of Man and the Irish Coast. Lately flares have been picked up on beaches. These arm dumps are no longer safe as they are breaking free from what ever they where sunk in. I have spoken to a sailor who reckons he was on a ship which stopped above the Dyke and unloaded its cargo, they where never told what it was. Any information greatly appreciated. David BI.
