You have a point there Linda,a lot of people seem to forget(or just didn't know)that when they try to claim the "Red Duster"as their own, that it was also the national flag of this great country, Canada, untill Lester B Pearson gave us the "Maple Leaf" in the mid sixties.The Merchant seamens veterans badge consists of a H.M.Armed forces veterans badge suprimposed on a "Red Duster" and I wish I had a dollar for every time I am asked(while soaking up hot rums after the parade on Nov 11 in the Legeon)what part of the Canadian forces I was attached to ,in order to get a badge like that! I just don't explain any more, take care H
