has anyone ever made their own pattern -- using a computer for example, and gotten it made into fabric? -- --curious, 13:45:56 07/10/09 Fri [5]

Just be sure to digitize it in the file type needed by the embroidery machine. Ask your embroiderer. (NT) -- We are doing this for vest. Then have it made into vest by your own tailor. It is what Gavin's been doing for too much money., 04:24:28 07/13/09 Mon

- Correction: *I* didn't digitize it. I brought in one of her flyers and the embroidery guy digitized it. It cost $27 nearly 8 years ago. $5-7 for every time it gets embroidered. (NT) -- ll, 04:13:54 07/16/09 Thu

New to this...Ok, with numbers up for Nationals, will all boys/mens competitions u9 thru 20&Over have a recall except u8? -- or is it no recall for u9 or u10 either? confused., 13:22:42 06/19/09 Fri [9]

There is usually a recall unless there are 10 or less. Then it's easier and quicker for them all to do their sets because they can all be finished before recalls would even be out. (NT) -- No name, 22:50:20 06/23/09 Tue

  - Traditional sets for young ones at NANs are done alone (NT) -- if I recall correctly, 19:41:08 06/28/09 Sun

I just got back from Burlington Coat Factory and saw lots and lots of bright,colorful,patterned and/or contrasting shirts and a few vests (waist coats). These look to be after Easter leftovers. I've looked here before but never saw this many.

In case you get there and they don't have the selection or you don't have a Burlington, search the internet for these brands: Georgio Bissoni, Sean John, Kani Gold, Happy Fella and Young Kings by Steve Harvey. Kani Gold had some great colors! For the less daring, there are lots of shirts, at reasonable prices that will appeal to just about everyone.

No, I do not work there, I was just so happy to see some choices, I wanted to share!!!!!

In my ds's group, there are several top placers from our region that aren't listed. I know a few of them went to worlds, but surprised that they're not doing Nans. We went to Nashville last year (solos + teams), not going this year. Time, money, and his ceili team wasn't all able to go. (NT) -- mom of ds/dd, 10:35:19 06/13/09 Sat

Probably would be back if not for the negative impact of that song "The Scottsmans" eh?

Certainly kilts would give the judges a better look at what the knees ( and how crossed over or not ) and lower feet are doing.

My ds would rather wear a simple kilt than some of the bling-y shirts/vests that some gents wear. He's in PC and only wears a solid shirt and black vest/tie. Will not touch anything shiny or with a rhinestone. (NT) -- Yea for kilts!, 10:44:37 06/09/09 Tue

  - He doesn't wear a kilt now, but wasn't at all opposed when I picked out a "utili-kilt" at a local Irish fair for him to try.
