  • Kilts! We all love them, don't we? -- Ealain, 01:20:36 03/30/08 Sun [7]
So, the male solo competitions at the Worlds have come to an end (although there's still mixed ceili). With that said, having been a chronic abuser of my beloved F5 button over the past week, I've seen a few kilts among the sea of black pants in boys' sections - so what do we all think about them?

Myself, I'd so wear a kilt, just for a nice change from the normal black pants, but if guys had to wear tights once in U19 and above, I wouldn't wear one. :P

  • Something I've been struggling with -- mom of eager ds, 14:58:59 04/17/08 Thu [15]
At a feis recently, a mom of a ds really dissed the other boys in her son's comp for being too slow to move out of OPW (my son is one of those but wasn't dancing at the time of her comments.) I haven't been able to get her mean comments about the boys out of my head. Now I'm wondering if my ds has been too slow to move out of the OPW. He still loves dance but also wants to compete and place at the O (has qualified this year), nationals and beyond. Anyone facing this out there with their ds?

  • Are the top placements in worlds this year for boys making sense? -- curious, 16:27:44 03/28/08 Fri [2]
Someone in an earlier post noted that perhaps the recognition that the boys in the UK get might be a factor in judging how the world results are being scored this year.

Is this realistic or just a perception? I don't have any pre-conceived opinions one way or another.
