I do have it drycleaned because it has a lot of gold and I don't know how that would launder. They doubled the fabric for the french cuffs and collar to give those more stiffness.   • A young teen should decide what color or pattern he wants to wear. I would have him talk to the TC and get his/her opinion, but if it is OKed, then I would let him go for it.   • My ds has always picked out his shirts/vests. I would let him wear what he likes. It is your son who is the dancer, the one who has to get up and be "on" and confident.   • You need to do some of the Canadian feises. My ds hates to dance alone also, the comp is Canada is super-tough, boys and girls are combined, but it is so worth the experience. • Around 6th grade and then again around 9th grade are the toughest times for boys and many drop out. I wish there was more encouragement for the boys. Dancing alone and having very little competition makes all that hard work less rewarding. At least with sports, there is good competition every week. • In my ds's group, there are several top placers from our region that aren't listed. I know a few of them went to worlds, but surprised that they're not doing Nans.
