Author: not a perv, just a mom
Subject: This may seem like a weird question, but DS just informed me he doesn't want to wear briefs under dancing trousers, instead wants to wear Body Armor, these spandex type things like briefs. I apologize for getting so personal here, but I've never heard of wearing these under trousers. Son is only 11; Sorry to start odd chat here, but what do most boys/young men wear under their trousers?

[> I think it is just a personal preference. We bought my ds a pair of the body armour briefs and he felt they were "weird feeling". -- Irishmama, 05:23:12 12/22/08 Mon [1]

But it seemed to make sense to me that they might feel better. If it works, go for it.

[> My u11 son wears a kind of spandex pair much like the body armour. He wears them because his trousers are a tight fit and he doesn't like briefs. My older son wears them under his soccer shorts as everything is kept in one place and, forgive my straightforwardness, nothing jangles. -- good luck, 07:20:01 12/22/08 Mon [1]

[> Truth be told, as they get older they SHOULD wear something tighter fitting - and the pants lay nicer then as well - it is just a matter of getting used to it. -- underarmour, dance briefs, whatever works, 18:45:33 12/22/08 Mon [1]

don't worry, my son wears underarmor under his dance pants, instead of briefs, as they keep his shirt tucked in, they don't ride up and the lines don't show. my son is now 14 and has been dancing for 7 years

[> My son wears skins, he has suffered from hamstring problems. Since wearing these he has not had any problems. Won't dance without them. Even when he plays sport for school, he wears them. He also wears the skins tops, makes him feel more confident. -- :), 02:01:18 01/05/09 Mon [1]

[> [> New to this board and think you moms are fab. I have two sons that dance and we often discuss what they should wear under their dance pants. One wears briefs but the other insists on boxers and I think that I see they look too bulky. What are skins? Never heard of them. [> [> If you watch the cricket you will see many of them wearing what looks like a long sleeve tshirt under their playing shirt. You can also buy these in short sleeves, they come in shorts or what looks like long tights. I know a lot of footballers who wear them. -- /, 16:48:19 02/10/09 Tue [1]

Are you in Oz, if so where do you buy skins? My 13yo DS just wears his normal stretch cotton boxers.
