Subject: U19 Boy here. I'd just like to point out that as far as the dancing is concerned, it's the size and quality of the stage that matters to us, and not the size of the room.
In reply to: hope everythings fair for bigger guys 's message, "Oh dear it seems as though the boys have gotten the short end of the stick at worlds. Apparently they are on a smaller stage. Not sure how true this is but the UK/Irish board is discussing it." on 09:44:21 03/05/09 Thu

Talking from the perspective of a dancer here, and not the perspective of a spectator, as far as I'm concerned, I could be dancing in a room that only fits a big stage, judges and musicians, and as long as I have the space to do my dances to the best of my ability, that is good enough for me. The reality of the situation is that the boys competitions have fewer numbers, and if that means that by moving us they can run the day more effectively, then fine.
I can guarantee you that how many spectators are watching doesn't cross anyone's mind when they're on stage. All a dancer is concerned with once he's on stage are his dancing, the judges, the music, and doing his best.

I would like to remind everyone that this is a competition, not a show. The most important thing is allowing the boys to dance the best they can for the judges. Room size has no effect on that. I say stick me in whatever room you want, just give me the space on stage to do my best.

I watch the boys comps bc those older boys don't even seem to touch the stage during reel-it looks like you are in flight!
